From the tea fields of Kyoto Yamashiro, we deliver uncompromising single-origin Uji Matcha to the world.
Why We Exist
The global demand for matcha is growing rapidly. However, Japanese tea farmers are facing an aging workforce and a lack of successors, and the production base is shrinking year by year. The cultivation techniques and culture of Uji tea, passed down for over 800 years, are an agricultural asset that Japan can be proud of and a value that should be preserved for the future. MATCHA HIGH's mission is to establish a sustainable agricultural model through matcha and deliver Made in Japan matcha to the everyday lives of people worldwide.
From Kyoto Yamashiro
Everything starts in Kyoto Yamashiro. We continue to cultivate tea in this region, known as the core production area of Uji tea. Traditional shaded cultivation. Careful harvesting. Inherited techniques. All of these support the quality of a single cup of matcha. We are not just sellers. We are producers who protect tea fields, grow tea leaves, and deliver their value to the world.
